Aquarium Finisterrae

Aquarium of the End of the World, focusing on Atlantic marine life

The Aquarium Finisterrae — named for the ancient Roman designation of this cape as the end of the world — is the northernmost of the three Museos Científicos Coruñeses, sitting near the Torre de Hércules on the tip of the peninsula. Its focus is the Atlantic Ocean and the marine ecosystems of the Galician coast.

The star exhibits are the large tanks reproducing local ocean habitats: rocky Atlantic seabed, estuarine environments, and the deep water beyond the continental shelf. The octopus tank is reliably popular, and a touch pool lets younger visitors handle starfish and sea anemones. Combined ticket available with the Domus and Casa de las Ciencias.
