Cry d'Er

Cry d'Er is the main mid-mountain station on the Crans side of the resort, sitting at 2,263 metres and reached by the Blue gondola from Crans village. The gondola takes about 8 minutes and arrives at a hub with access to the upper mountain, the Toula chairlift toward Bella Lui, and the long red pistes back down to the resort. The station itself houses one of the resort's most popular lunch and après-ski venues.

The Club d'Altitude restaurant at Cry d'Er has a large south-facing terrace and a split format: a self-service section serving woks, pasta, and daily specials, and a more structured restaurant with table service and a proper Valais menu. After about 2 pm on clear days, a DJ plays on the terrace and the atmosphere shifts from lunch to party. The Cry d'Er terrace scene is one of the defining experiences of the resort in winter — loud, glamorous, and at 2,200 metres. In summer the gondola continues to operate for hikers, and the views from the terrace are as good as in winter without the sunblock requirement.

A story
At 2,263 metres, Cry d'Er is the apres-ski epicentre of the resort and one of the few true mountaintop party spots in the Alps. After 2 pm on powder days the terrace fills with skiers in boots and helmets, the DJ turns up the volume, and the crowd stays until the last gondola. It is the kind of scene that justified the resort's reputation for high living.
