The Arsenal Museum occupies part of Lviv's old city fortifications, a Renaissance military building from the 16th century. Its collection covers weapons and armour from the medieval period into the early 20th century, with pieces from many countries.
It is an easy stop while exploring the streets east of Rynok Square, and the setting gives the collection more atmosphere than a standard display hall.
