Narodnyi Dim

Narodnyi Dim, or the People's House, is one of Lviv's old cultural addresses. In the 19th and early 20th centuries it held a library, museum, clubs, and meeting rooms for Galicia's civic and intellectual life.

It is not one of Lviv's showiest buildings, but it adds context to the city's layered Ukrainian, Polish, Austrian, and Ruthenian history. Look for it while walking the streets north of Rynok Square.
