HMS M.33

A small monitor — a shallow-draught coastal bombardment ship — moored in the dockyard alongside Victory. M.33 fought at Gallipoli in 1915 and on the North Russian rivers in 1919, and is one of only three British warships from the First World War still afloat anywhere in the world.

The hull is tiny, almost claustrophobic, and gives a strong sense of how unpleasant service on a wartime gun-platform must have been. It is included in the standard dockyard ticket but is often quieter than the bigger ships nearby — a good stop if Victory is crowded.
