Candlestick Point State Recreation Area is a bayside park on San Francisco's southeastern waterfront. It is quieter than the city's famous parks, with open lawns, fishing spots, picnic areas, and broad views across the bay.
The point is also a good place to see the windier, working-edge side of San Francisco Bay, including windsurfers when conditions are right. It works best as a local nature and waterfront stop rather than a central sightseeing priority.
