The Hennepin Island Hydroelectric Plant is part of the working industrial landscape around Saint Anthony Falls. Built in 1908, it still generates power from the river, and although you mostly see it from outside, it adds useful context to the mills, bridges, and waterworks that shaped early Minneapolis.
