Buckland Museum of Witchcraft and Magick

A small museum of witchcraft, occult, and ritual artefacts

Address 2155 Broadview Road

The Buckland Museum holds the collection of Raymond Buckland, the English-born Wiccan author who emigrated to Long Island in the 1960s and brought the British witchcraft tradition to North America. The artefacts — ritual swords, athames, books, founder's gowns, scrying mirrors — were gradually donated to the museum's current curator and are now displayed in a tiny storefront on Broadview Road in the Old Brooklyn neighbourhood.

It is the kind of single-subject museum that rewards a particular interest more than passing curiosity. Open only on weekends; admission is a few dollars. Allow forty-five minutes.
