The Great Lakes Science Center is a 165,000-square-foot lakefront museum next door to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The permanent exhibits cover physics, biology, and Great Lakes ecology, and the building shares a campus with the NASA Glenn Research Center's visitor outpost — which houses, among other things, the Apollo Skylab 3 command module that flew in 1973.
A six-story Omnimax cinema and a docked steamship (the William G. Mather) are part of the ticketed complex. The exhibits are aimed primarily at children and families, but the NASA wing rewards anyone with an interest in the American space programme.
Admission charged. Combinable with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Mather on a single lakefront day.
