The downtown arena originally known as Gund Arena and most recently as Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse — and now simply Rocket Arena — has been the home of the Cleveland Cavaliers (NBA) since 1994. A 2019 renovation added a glass-walled atrium on the south side and reorganised the concourse around an expanded promenade.
The Cavaliers play October through April, and the arena also hosts the Monsters minor-league hockey team, concerts, and the occasional college basketball tournament. The downtown sports campus (the arena and Progressive Field across the street) creates a lively street scene on game nights.
Tickets via the NBA team's website. The arena is connected to Tower City and the Rapid system by an indoor walkway, useful in winter.
