Circular Congregational Church

Circular Congregational Church is one of Charleston's oldest congregations, founded around 1681 by dissenting Protestants from the early Charles Town settlement. The church and graveyard sit on Meeting Street, whose name comes from the congregation's original White Meeting House.

The present circular sanctuary and the old burial ground make this a useful stop on a walk through Charleston's historic core, especially for visitors interested in the city's colonial religious history.
