A small, free museum dedicated to a single Fort Worth department store: Leonard's, which dominated downtown retail from 1918 until it was sold to Tandy in 1967. The collection covers everything from the in-store subway that ran from a parking lot to the basement food hall, to the wartime memorabilia and household goods that defined a generation of local life. Better than it sounds, and intelligent on the role department stores played in mid-century American cities. About forty-five minutes.
