Stockyards Museum

A small museum on the upper floor of the Livestock Exchange Building, run by the North Fort Worth Historical Society. The exhibits cover the cattle-drive era, the boom and slow decline of the meatpacking plants, the Mexican-American workforce that built the stockyards, and the families that ran them. It is the most thorough explanation of why this district matters, and useful before walking the rest of the Stockyards. Allow forty-five minutes.
