Largo São Francisco brings together the Church and Convent of Saint Francis and the historic Law School of the University of São Paulo. The square is a useful stop for seeing an older layer of central São Paulo, where colonial religious buildings and civic institutions sit close together.
It works best as part of a walk through Centro, linking the cathedral, Pátio do Colégio, and Theatro Municipal.
