Nucleo Curucutu is the far-southern Sao Paulo section of Parque Estadual Serra do Mar, protecting a large stretch of Atlantic rainforest around Marsilac. On clear days the high ground can give views toward the coast, but the main reason to come is the rare chance to walk in preserved forest within the municipality of Sao Paulo.
