The Sunehri Mosque — the "Golden Mosque" — sits in the heart of the Walled City, on the Kashmiri Bazaar between Wazir Khan Mosque and the fort. Three small gilded copper domes rise above the prayer hall, glinting against the surrounding red-brick havelis.
Built in 1753 by Nawab Bhikhari Khan, an official of the last Mughal viceroys, it is the most photographed minor mosque in Lahore. The interior is closed to non-Muslims, but the courtyard is open and the bazaar at the gates is one of the most atmospheric in the old city.
