Brno Zoo occupies wooded slopes on Mniší hora, above the reservoir side of the city. The setting gives it more of a walk-in-the-hills feel than a flat urban zoo, with animal areas spread along paths and viewpoints.
It is primarily a family attraction, but it also works if you want a relaxed half-day outside the centre. Combine it with the Brno Reservoir area when the weather is good.
