Panormos Beach

One of the most beautiful and least-developed beaches on Mykonos, Panormos faces northeast on the island's north coast and is partly sheltered from the meltemi wind. The water is clear and deep blue, the beach is sandy with some pebble sections, and the hillside backdrop is dry and rocky in the classic Cycladic style. A small taverna operates in season at the northern end.

Panormos has attracted some upscale development in recent years — a beach club opened and the secret has spread — but it remains significantly quieter than the south-coast beaches. Getting here requires a car or scooter; there is no reliable bus service. The road from Ano Mera takes about 15 minutes.
