These two small neighbouring Old Town churches date from the 14th century, when buildings around them served as quarantine lodgings for visitors to Ohrid. Saint Nicholas Bolnički has surviving frescoes and Adriatic-influenced details, while Saint Mary Bolnička is plainer but still part of the same compact medieval church group.
