The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary sits just above the main shopping street of Ohrid's Old Bazaar. The site dates to the 17th century, while most of the present church was built in 1832.
The single-domed interior is known for its frescoes, and the small 16th-century clock tower nearby adds to the setting. It is a worthwhile stop while moving between the bazaar and Ohrid's older hillside sights.
