Krakovo is the pocket of Ljubljana where the city briefly remembers it was also a market-garden town. Just south of the old centre, its low houses, narrow lanes, and surviving garden plots feel surprisingly village-like for somewhere so close to the riverfront.
It is best explored slowly, without a checklist. Wander through on the way to Trnovo or back from the Ljubljanica, and use it as a quiet counterweight to the castle, bridges, and busy cafe streets.
