Known as Oseredok, this centre holds an extraordinary collection of Ukrainian art, folk artifacts, textiles, and archival material — one of the most significant Ukrainian cultural collections outside Ukraine itself. Winnipeg's North End received wave after wave of Ukrainian immigrants from the 1890s onward; Oseredok is the memory of that community. The gallery mounts rotating exhibitions; the library and archives are a research destination for the Ukrainian diaspora worldwide.
