Norbrook and Jack's Hill are the upscale residential communities in the hills northeast of New Kingston — the highest and most expensive residential addresses in the capital, looking down over the city and harbour from an elevation of 400–600 metres. The temperature up here is noticeably cooler than the city below, and the views at dusk, when Kingston's lights begin to come on against the backdrop of the harbour, are among the best available from any accessible point near the city.
The area has no specific visitor attractions but some of Kingston's best restaurants are located here, and the drive up through Norbrook Road and onto Jack's Hill gives the best aerial perspective on Kingston's geography — the city spreading across the Liguanea Plain, the harbour and the Palisadoes spit to the south, and the Blue Mountain peaks rising to the north and east. Worth the detour for the view alone.
