Fairytale Town is a long-running children's park in Land Park, built around storybook playsets, small gardens, and gentle animal encounters. It is aimed squarely at younger children, but for families it can be one of the easiest Sacramento outings to combine with the zoo or a picnic.
The experience is deliberately low-key rather than amusement-park intense. Its value is strongest for visitors with children who want a half-day activity close to central Sacramento.
