A 1,200-acre cultural park built around the Spanish-colonial pavilions of the 1915 Panama-California Exposition. Seventeen museums, the San Diego Zoo, performance venues, formal gardens and miles of walking paths. Some of the museums are free on Tuesdays for San Diego County residents. Don't miss the Botanical Building (a wooden lath structure) and the free 1915 Spreckels Organ Pavilion concerts on Sunday afternoons.
