Belmont Park

Belmont Park is the old-school amusement park at the south end of Mission Beach. Its landmark is the Giant Dipper, a wooden roller coaster from 1925 and one of the few surviving oceanfront coasters on the West Coast.

The park mixes rides, arcades, snack counters, and beach crowds, so it feels more like a piece of San Diego seaside history than a polished theme park. Come for the coaster and the boardwalk atmosphere, then keep walking along Mission Beach.
