Artisan Works is a non-profit art space in a large Rochester warehouse, packed with paintings, sculpture, studio rooms, and odd corners of display. It feels more like wandering through an artist-filled maze than visiting a formal gallery.
Much of the art is for sale, and resident artists may be working when you visit. The scale and informality make it a good contrast to Rochester's more traditional museums, especially if you like seeing work in progress as much as finished pieces.
