Turning Point Park

A Genesee River park with boardwalks through the wetlands and a quiet trail link toward Lake Ontario.

Turning Point Park follows a wide bend of the Genesee River north of central Rochester. Its signature feature is the boardwalk, which carries you through marsh and riverside habitat with enough open water, reeds, and birdlife to make the city feel a long way off.

It is a good low-key walk rather than a marquee attraction. Bring comfortable shoes, watch for cyclists on shared sections, and consider combining it with other northern river stops if you are tracing the Genesee toward Lake Ontario.
