Benjamin Franklin Bridge Pedestrian Walkway

The pedestrian walkway over the Benjamin Franklin Bridge gives you one of Philadelphia's best free skyline views. The span links Old City with Camden, and from the high middle section you can look back over the Delaware River, the historic district, and the towers of Center City.

The bridge was once the longest single-span suspension bridge in the world. On the Philadelphia side, the tunnel leading to the walkway has a broad mural that makes the climb feel less like ordinary infrastructure and more like a small urban walk. Check which side of the walkway is open before setting out.
