Queen Village

Queen Village is a compact South Philadelphia neighbourhood between Lombard Street, Washington Avenue, 10th Street, and the Delaware River. Its name refers to Sweden's Queen Christina, a reminder of the area's early colonial history before Philadelphia grew around it.

Today it is best explored on foot, especially in combination with South Street, Philadelphia's Magic Gardens, and the Italian Market area nearby. The appeal is the mix of older residential streets, small shops, and the easy transition into some of South Philadelphia's liveliest blocks.
