The Gayborhood is Philadelphia's traditional LGBTQ-friendly district, centred on the blocks around 12th and 13th streets near Washington Square West. Rainbow street signs, bars, restaurants, small shops, and a long community history give the area a clear identity within Center City.
It is best treated as a walkable district rather than a single sight: come for the street life, then continue toward Midtown Village, Washington Square, or the historic core.
