Praia da Galheta is one of Florianópolis's more distinctive beaches: reached by trail, backed by green hills, and known for a freer, less developed atmosphere than the busier resort sands nearby. It sits close to Praia Mole but feels more tucked away.
The beach has a clothing-optional tradition, so arrive with an open mind and ordinary beach respect. Bring water, check conditions before swimming, and treat the walk in and out as part of the appeal rather than an inconvenience.
