The Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Las Nieves, on Carrera 7 near Calle 19, sits at what was historically the northern edge of colonial Bogota. The original church on this site dates from 1585, making it one of the oldest in the city. The current structure is mostly 19th-century, but the interior preserves colonial paintings and a carved altar.
It stands in a busy intersection and is easily missed among the commercial activity of Carrera 7. But step inside and the colonial interior is intact and cool, a good stop between the historic centre and the modern commercial district further north. Open daily during services.
