Bayt al-Sihaymi is one of Islamic Cairo's finest surviving Ottoman houses, tucked into the old lanes near Al-Muizz Street. The restored merchant house shows how a wealthy Cairene family lived, with quiet courtyards, screened windows, reception rooms, and carved wooden details.
It is usually calmer than the main mosque-and-market route, which is part of its appeal. Visit it as a pause while walking between Bab al-Futuh, Khan el-Khalili, and the historic spine of Al-Muizz Street.
