Fort Augustaborg

Fort Augustaborg is an 18th-century Danish coastal fort at Teshie, east of central Accra. It was built in 1787 as part of the network of European trading forts along the Gold Coast.

The fort is less visited than Osu Castle or Jamestown, but it is a worthwhile stop for travelers tracing Accra's coastal history. Check local access before going, as smaller historic sites in the area can have irregular opening arrangements.
