Wesley Methodist Cathedral is one of central Accra's better-known Protestant churches, set close to the old commercial core rather than in a tourist precinct. It is not as visually dramatic as Jamestown or the national museums, but it gives a useful glimpse of the Methodist tradition that has been part of Ghanaian public life since the colonial period.
Come for the building and the atmosphere around services rather than for museum-style interpretation. If the doors are open, be respectful: this is an active congregation, and the most interesting thing about it is how naturally worship, community meetings, and city life overlap here.
