Dom Pedro V Theatre was built in 1860 and is one of Macau's key Portuguese-era landmarks, often described as the first Western-style theatre on the Chinese coast.
The pale green neoclassical building is close to Senado Square and is worth folding into a walk through Macau's historic centre.
