This surviving section of Macau's old defensive walls dates from the 16th century and sits close to the Ruins of St Paul's and Monte Fort. The wall was built with chunambo, a local mixture of clay, soil, sand, straw, crushed stone, and oyster shells. It is a short stop, but it adds useful context to Macau's early colonial fortifications.
