Hussain Sagar is the 16th-century lake between Hyderabad and Secunderabad, created by damming the Musi during the Qutb Shahi period. The shoreline has parks, monuments, and the Necklace Road promenade, while boats run out to the large Buddha statue on the island in the middle of the lake.
