The Paigah Tombs are the burial place of the Paigah nobles, an aristocratic family closely tied to Hyderabad's Nizams. Their lime-and-mortar tombs are known for delicate carving, marble inlay, pierced screens, and a softer atmosphere than the city's busier monuments.
They sit away from the main Charminar circuit, so the visit takes a little effort. That is part of the reward: the tombs are quiet, graceful, and one of Hyderabad's better lesser-known historic stops.
