Mahakali Temple is a small but old Hindu temple near Golconda, traditionally linked to the early Kakatiya period. It remains an active place of worship, especially during the Bonalu festival, so visit with the same care you would bring to any living shrine.
It makes most sense as a short add-on when you are already exploring Golconda Fort and the nearby tombs. The interest is less in scale than in continuity: centuries of local devotion in the shadow of Hyderabad's better-known monuments.
