The Atal Bridge opened in 2022 and is the centrepiece of the Sabarmati Riverfront. The 300-metre pedestrian bridge sweeps across the river in a single S-curve of pink and yellow steel, with two viewing decks at the deepest point of the bend and integrated planted gardens along the surface. The night lighting is the city's most popular Instagram backdrop.
Entrance is from either bank near the Old Ellis Bridge. The bridge is one-way for traffic flow during busy weekends. Vendors line the approach with kulfi and corn cobs.
