Bangalore Fort is the fragment of a much larger 16th-century stronghold, rebuilt in stone under Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan. The surviving granite walls, heavy gates, small dungeon, and Ganesha temple make it a compact but worthwhile stop near Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace.
