Someshwara Swamy Temple

Someshwara Swamy Temple is one of Bangalore's older Shiva temples, with layers of Chola, Hoysala, and Vijayanagara work visible in its sanctum, outer enclosure, hall, and gopuram. The result is less a single-period monument than a compact record of the city's older religious architecture.

It is a good stop if you are exploring Ulsoor or the eastern side of central Bangalore. Visit respectfully, especially during worship.
