J. P. Park is a large neighbourhood park in north Bangalore, with lakes, lawns, children's play areas, an amphitheatre, and a broad mix of trees and shrubs. It is not one of the city's headline sights, but it is a useful green escape if you are staying or travelling on this side of town.
Come early or late in the day, when Bangalore's parks are at their most pleasant. The scale makes it better for a proper walk than a quick roadside pause.
