Hesaraghatta Lake is a freshwater lake north of Bangalore, created in 1894 across the Arkavati River to supply drinking water to the city. It forms part of the Greater Hesaraghatta Grassland Conservation Reserve and is best visited for open landscapes, birdlife, and a quieter rural edge of the Bangalore region.
