Chauburji ("Four Towers") is a small ruined Mughal pavilion just south of Chini ka Rauza on the eastern bank of the Yamuna. The plain octagonal building, with four corner turrets, was probably part of a tomb complex or a barahdari (twelve-doored summer house) that has otherwise disappeared.
It is the kind of place only enthusiasts seek out, but the walk along the riverbank between Aram Bagh, Chini ka Rauza, and Chauburji gives a real sense of the lost Mughal landscape that once stretched both sides of the river through Agra.
