Firoz Khan, a chief eunuch in Shah Jahan's court, is buried in a modest but striking tomb 4 kilometres south of central Agra. The octagonal red sandstone building stands on a high plinth surrounded by ruined garden walls, with an unusual two-tier design and remnants of geometric tile inlay.
The site is rarely visited and feels almost forgotten. Worth a stop if you are passing on the way to Sikandra or the Cantonment.
