Yangon's main covered market, also known as Scott Market after the British official who built it in 1926. The sprawling complex sells everything from longyis (the traditional sarong worn by most Burmese) and gems to lacquerware, antiques, and clothing. It is one of the best places in Myanmar to buy traditional crafts. Closed on Mondays and public holidays.
