Gameunsa is a Silla-period temple site near the east coast, reduced now to foundations and two tall stone pagodas. Its story is tied to King Munmu, who wanted his spirit to guard the kingdom from the sea, so it pairs naturally with the nearby underwater tomb rather than the busier sights in central Gyeongju.
